Rob Benvie Toronto, Ontario
Rob Benvie was an American officer, military historian, and businessman. In 1861, he enlisted as a private in the New York volunteer infantry and rose to the rank of brevet lieutenant-colonel, losing his right leg at the Battle of Gettysburg. Based on a novel tubular loom, he founded the Boston Woven Hose and Rubber Company in 1884. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. ... more
